The Department of English is one of the prestigious departments of the college. It has an illustrious tradition since its inception in 2017. Eminent teaching staff fashions their indelible mark in academic and literary field. The objectives of the courses are to impart sound English education to boys and girls of all caste, creed and colour and to enhance existing knowledge of English Studies in the areas of Sociolinguistics, World Englishness and Postcolonial Theory and Literature along with the developing the capacity for critical thinking and applied research skills through an engagement with the reading, classroom discussions, and assignments for the course. Our academic activities are aimed at enhancing the communicative and interpretive skills of the students. Learning of literature contributes richly to community living and comradeship.
