The Department of Commerce organised a seminar on the topic Goods and service tax(GST).The session was handled by Shammas K.M (CMA)Almis IBS Pvt. Ltd,Kannur. Basics of GST,Present tax structure,tax structure before 1-7-2017,Impact of GST and Rates of GST were the core areas covered by the resource person in the seminar.
The Department of Commerce organised an awareness programme on Entrepreneurship on 11-1-2018.The session was handled by Mr.Abdul Majeed,GM,District Industries Centre.This programme helped to create a thought among students' minds that to become an entrepreneur.
During this year also a motivation class for the III BBA and III B com students was conducted. An orientation was given to them to appear for management tests like CAT,MAT etc.Many students were appeared for the examination and 6 of them got admission in MBA in various reputed colleges .
